How old were you when you learned to skate? If you’re like me, you may not even remember learning to skate. It was just one of those things I always did.
So where do you start when you’re teaching your child to skate? Start with their biggest fear. FALLING. Yes, they are going to fall. And fall. And fall. That’s part of learning. What they are really afraid of isn’t falling. New skaters are afraid of being stuck on the ground when they fall. What do they do if they fall down? You get back up again.
The first lesson to roller skating is how to get up. Teach your child how to get up alone and you completely remove their fear of falling down. Parenting WIN!!!!
Check out our Skate Instructor, Tyler, teaching you how to get back. You can join us at Fun Warehouse for Skate Lessons every Wednesday night at 5:30pm and 6:30pm.
